Roland-Garros, BNP Paribas and Bigben are pleased to announce the French winner of the Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas, the esport tournament organized on Tennis World Tour: Thibaut Karmaly

The French qualifiers for the international final took place on May 19th, at the Open Park Auvergne Rhône-Alpes in Lyon. Thibaut Karmaly, alias ThibKa, won the French legfor the second year in a row, and will have the honour of representing France at the grand final at Roland-Garros stadium on June 8th and 9th.

ThibKa fought hard to win his ticket for the international final. He had to bounce back in the semifinal, after having lost the first set to LoicAAC (1-3). He ended up winning the match in two sets hung (4-2, 10-8).

His strength was tested again in the final that saw him compete against the Tennis World Tour best international player, Marvin "RvP" Nonone. The final kept all its promises. ThibKa really had to focus and dig deep into his inner resources to beat RvP (4-2, 4-2)

"I am very happy I managed to win even though my opponents’ level really increased compared to the first edition. Now, time to go to Roland-Garros!  It is a big challenge again this year but I hope that the second time will be the right one! "said ThibKa after his victory.

The Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas’ ambassador, Norman "Genius" Chatrier, was in Lyon to comment on the French final. "We had a very good tournament that showed that France is a great nation for virtual tennis. I am glad to get back to Roland-Garros with Thibaut Karmaly.
